Garth does Greece

Our first run of the holiday was on Wednesday morning. Suffering from jet lag we all woke up very early and had to wait for it to get light before we headed out. Garth took a few minutes to locate his new satellites and then we were off. Our hotel is on the beach front at Kamari Beach on Santorini. It's a strange black beach as Santorini is an extinct volcano and the beach is black volcanic stones and sand, but the sea is pristine.

We headed along the beachfront with Mr Lulu leading the way.. first km in 5 mins.. perhaps a bit fast I said and we eased back a bit. The beachfront road ended and turned inland up a gradual incline.. another few km's and I'd had enough. The sun was up and the temperature was rising fast.. the days have been mid 30's so far. We turned around and headed back to the hotel, a quick change and then plunged into the sea to cool down. The water really is beautiful, clear and calm.

6km's in just under 40 mins.. not too bad considering the jet lag!
